I have a thing for this girl and I'm afraid I'll be rejected by her religion. I know she likes me and she always looks at me. She stares into my eyes without any break for a long time. She seems like she might be a rule breaker but I haven't ever seen her with any boys. She's always around her friends. She wears a head dress and everything. She's beautiful. Anybody ever been in my situation before?

This is a great organisation for Muslim/Christian marriages.

Not that you are considering marriage, bigduke, but it more common than some ABer would have you believe. No need for either to change religion.
This article appeared in the Guardian in December, as with any article that appears in the press, you should do your own research rather than rely on it.

However it appears distubing, I for one think you you should bend an ear to Beso:

OK not all muslim families indulge in exrtremism but beso has a point, if you don't convert to islam the girl will be seem as dishonouring the family and many have been murdered for that. Test the water first, if they make the "extremist" noises then run a mile, best for you both.
The majority of Muslim families are not extremists.
Much depends upon education and cultural background. For example, a Muslim friend of mine from Kuala Lumpur dated and married an Englishman, and her family have no problem at all with her choice of husband – and it was her choice entirely. The prospect of a Muslim girl ‘dating’ a non-Muslim boy who doesn't necessarily intend marriage and intends to remain non-Muslim is likely to be viewed rather differently by families from the Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.
look, i as a muslim am saying that go talk to her. See what she says then we can help. If you dont talk to her than you may regret it your whole life. And please dont be put off by these people who are hinting at muslims being complete monster lol.
I agree, sith - there is no harm in speaking to her - if she says she's not allowed to, then you know where you stand.
True. No harm in trying. Since the OP says //She seems like she might be a rule breaker// he is obviously aware that he might be treading on rather shaky ground.
Hello bigduke,

“I have a thing for this girl and I'm afraid I'll be rejected by her religion...”

Two young people who are apparently attracted to one another and they are being kept apart by their respective religious beliefs and the ever present threat of societal rejection from within their own communities.

How utterly perverse and nonsensical can you get?

I'm sorry that I haven't given you anything that may help your current situation but I thank you for posting this question. It highlights a very real yet completely artificial barrier that exists between different religious groups who are all delusional and yet argue over how that delusion manifests itself and what rituals and rites should be attributed to the delusion.

Just for my own curiosity – why are you a Christian?
