Does anyone know why the BBC showed a repeat of an old one last night rather than the episodes that were originally sceduled?

It was listed in Radio Times as a repeat from series 14.

People have suggested the postponed episodes are similar to an ongoing police investigation, but the missing episodes will apparently be on the DVD.
