Anybody done any serious walking wearing a pair of these? My present boots, Brasher Ultralight, are on their last legs and they can't be satisfactorily repaired. The Doc Martens also seem to be about half the price.

i've got both but the brasher are the most comfortable. dm are okay but am always very glad to take them off at the end of the day. brasher are also more flexible.

it's what you prefer.
You shouldn't contemplate walking any distance in your Docs until you have broken them in. Once that's done, they should be OK, but personally, I would get some boots that are fit for purpose - Brashers' purpose is to walk, Docs' purpose is to look cool.
I've some DM's but find them rather stiff for long walks, when I take the dog hiking I wear Timberlands.
Docs' purpose is to look cool.

really?

I obviously have no style what so ever
I have a pair of the ''guaranteed for life'' Doc's, the leather on these is much softer than the regular ones from day one, easily the most comfortable boots I own. They're more expesive but with that guarantee I think that they're worth it!
