How do I convert a received e-mail into an ordinary Word file so that I can edit it for inclusion in a Newsletter? Help much appreciated.

Just select all the text in the mail and do a cut and paste into a blank word document.
...you could open the email then click File/Save as and select text file from the Save as Type box drop down menu and save it wherever you like for use in your word processor......commoner
