Pension SAP number

I receive a monthly pension showing gross and net pay and something called a SAP number. Can someone tell me what SAP stands for please?

Thanks for the information, Nibble. Somehow I don't see how 'self administered' could apply to me. I was an ordinary employee in a public service kind of employment.
It may be that your pension company is using SAP software – and that this is your assigned identification number used by the SAP software.

The company name ‘SAP’ stands for:-
Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing.
