Points on Driving Licence
It's coming up to 3 years since I received 3 points for a speeding offence. It's also coming up to the time for me to renew my car insurance - I've stuck with the same company who continued to give the cheapest quote, despite surcharging me (about 27 p.a.) for my misdeed. To say my licence is clean, do I have to formally apply to the Licencing Authority to have it physically removed (& presumably pay a fee) or is it in order to just consider it discharged after the prescribed time is up?
Hope you clever people out there know the answer!

Some insurance companys ask about the last 3 years for points and claims not the last 5. I'm sure elephant was one of them.
I do wonder, if you lied to the insurance company after 4 years and haveing no points physically on your license how could the insurance company every know?, i'd never want to do it myself as they will try anything not to pay up but just curious.
