I've just received a friend request from a lady who I have absolutely no knowledge of, on her info it says her sons are in the National Guard, what country has this. I can't see her friends list to see if we have any mutual friends, I'm the only person on FB with my name so she couldn't have mixed me up with anyone else. Curious.

National Guard is the American version of the Territorial Army. She's a Yank.

Thanks sandy, went to have a look at my US friend's list to see if she was on it and I've just realised my FB was logged in as my rocky racoon profile with the above avatar. You used to be able to send a message with a frends request which was good for helping to identify people, I wish they still did this.
I sometimes get non descript friend requests (the ones with no mutual friends) I normally ignore them, they are not really 'a friend' if you havent a clue who they are lol ;)

Lol Cazz, I know. I don't usually get them as my name maiden name is quite unusual so I can't be mistaken for anyone else. Seems strange that a woman would want to befriend a rocky racoon with a picture of a racoon holding a knife up to a cats neck.....unless it's someone from here? Lol.
when friend request is sent it also lists mutual friends.
Why not friend them, have a nose and if you don't like them just unfriend and block.
Question Author
Miarob, that's only if their friends list is public I think. O'er D97, not sure I could do that, mind it might be interesting lol. I'll think about it.
Maybe they just like rocky racoon. My nieces dog has his own page and gets lots of request.

Probably tenrec, there are many RR's on FB. And, I'm not the only div that spelt it wrong, loads have.
Ha ha I didn't know you had spelt it wrong!
Question Author
Lol, it's raCCoon.
Godammit, we'll have the spelling police after us.

It is a surprise that I haven't been tried and convicted.
Maybe they've put you on probation!
Don't accept the request. This has happened to me several times. I accepted the requests only to get two messages back saying thanks for adding me. I flipping didn't! I thought they added me! It seems that Facebook takes it upon itself to send you random friend requests (from friends of friends). They send one to the other person too so it looks to them like you've made the request. Took me a while to twig what was happening.
Question Author
Thanks Apri, I didn't accept it, Facebook can be underhand, I may, if it will let me, send her a message asking if I sent a request.
