Hi Welshlibranr - hope you don't mind me asking your advice.

We're booked to spend a few days staying just outside Cardiff and wondered what your suggestions would be for our last day. We have one day earmarked for Cardiff, another for Chepstow, one day in the valleys and to The Big Pit etc and and would like to spend one day visiting the coast. Where's good for two adults, no kids who like walking but not rambling and who like villages over towns?

Should we visit Swansea? Are there any other "don't miss" places around there?

Many thanks x

St Faggans is well worth a visit if you're into history.
Oh Maidup!........so many places to choose from!......let me think!.....you should visit the Gower, it's so stunning there, not far from Swansea!......lots of lovely beaches and coves there!........you'll love it!........if you need any more info, then please let me know!.....
Yes definitely the Gower, its gorgeous there, try Rhosilli, you can walk out to Worm's Head if the tide is right, and the view from the Worm's Head Hotel is amazing.
Visited the gower and the Worm's Head hotel for the first time recently, it is truly stunning :)
thanks slinky!........yes Worm's head is well worth a visit!....it's lovely!......try to get there Maidup!....well worth it!.......
Oxwich bay is lovely too!.........get a map of the Gower Maidup, it's all so stunning!.......you will love it, sadly one day isn't going to be enough to see it all!.....but you can come back to Wales again and see the rest!........
Three Cliffs bay lovely too, like you say Welsh, too much to see in one day, thats why I've been going back there for the last twenty years:-)

Thanks everyone, my internet went down mid conversation last night and I lost connection to you all.

I will get a map of the Gower and look for the places mentioned. If we can spend a few more days there we will. I'll have a reshuffle and try to make it two at least!
