Talking yesterday to my FIL he was saying that by now downloading his favourite newspape onto his Kindle, instead of buying it daily has saved him over £20 per month. And a friend was shocked when I pointed out that her one cup of coffee a day from a coffee van outside work, at £2 worked out at £40 per month! So she now uses the kettle in the staffroom lol. If I stopped getting my shopping delivered from Tesco's and use the supermarket near me then I would save approx £250 per year.

Am sure there are loads more.

I shut the Gas off as it only runs the heating................. then it turned cold again.............. the next. Wonder if I saved owt ha ha.

lol arwyn. We have our on a timer that comes on 2 hrs in morning then back on at 5pm. Yet my MIL has hers on constant yet turned either "on" or"off" by turning the thermostat up or down. Am sure that must cost much more.

I don't know smowball but I was certain it was staying off until October and only managed a day. ha ha.
I shop at Aldi and save loads.

Yep they do some pretty good stuff in Aldi and Lidl. I bought a bag of frozen lamb chump chops just to see what they were like. They only cost a couple of pound and were full of meat, delicious!

Freecycle is a good way to save yourself money, and help the planet. And it's good to get rid of stuff you don't want, to people who DO want it.

Get a Redman... he goes around switching stuff off...he uses coupons.... and is generally really sensible...

Hair once every two weeks @ £30 inc tip = £780.

Make it once every three, plus one extra @ Christmas = £540

I am sure you can do the subtraction for the saving.

We started buying the i newspaper on the occasions when we buy one - 20p weekdays, 30p Saturdays, it's still a newspaper (with 2 good crosswords) and it saves loads on the price of bigger papers.

OH moved from cigs to rollups - that's saved him a great deal of money, and it's better for him too, since rollups are weeny.
