Please can someone advise me on large old dimplex heaters. I have 3 in my flat. the one in the lounge has two plugs into the wall both with on off switch one with fuse. the hall has only one socket and lead. the bedroom the one giving me total grief has two leads into the wall, two switches on off. all have a dial to up heat and a switch that lights up with wavy lines. There are also two dials behind a panel that are input controls and boost. my problem i cant get any heat after midnight or 1 am from the bedroom heater.it says the rocker switch is convector heater but unless i keep these on there is no heat. HELP!!!!

If there are two leads running from device into wall, presumably there are two sets of wiring to connect to either normal tariff electricity or Economy night rate?
If that is the case, it sounds as if the connection to the night rate electricity on the heater on the bedroom heater is no longer connected?
Since the heaters themselves don't typically have timer switches inside them, I can't think of any other logical reason for this.

These are probably combination storage heaters, make sure both switches are on. they take a day or so to warm up, so be patient.

The input control sets how much heat to store, i'll have to look up what the boost does LOL

the rocker switch gives you instant heat from the convector part, you usually use that bit if there's not enough heat left in the bricks at the end of the day.

in theory you should be able to go here:

and get some info on them.... maybe if i bully the website guys enough they'll put an instruction manual up too ;)
