received a letter today (dated 23 March so took long enough to reach us. i may be cynical but was it posted on 23.03.12?) from our LPG supplier telling us that it is going up by 7 pence per litre from 01.04.12. rang them to check it was not an April Fools' Joke. was assured that it was not. is there anyone else who thinks that this is quite a hike at one go?

Sign of the times unfortunately. Gas, oil, petrol, you name it. It certainly looks like your supplier is playing you for a (April) fool though. I know of someone who joined forces with their neighbours and got a good deal from their supplier. Only problem is you all have to have a delivery at the same time.

I have oil fired central heating and had a delivery in Feb this year @ 63p per litre, just ordered another delivery and it's now 77p per litre!

elvis that is even worse. that is a huge increase. sympathy for you.

unfortunately we do not have any near neighbours and to change supplier would me having to pay for another storage tank and all that a change would mean so will just have to bit the bullet.

i just thought it was interesting that a letter dated dated 23.03.12 did not arrived until 03.04.12 but increase takes effect from 01.04.12. so was not able to order a top up before the increase date.
