prev Why is it that these people wo say they are Christians, Muslims etc when they dont even know what is written in their bible, koran etc?

Some people believe in it and some people don't. Same way as some people believe in man-made global warming and some people don't. Both theories in my opinion and neither 100% conclusive.

Ignorance, lack of high education and superstition (which leads to religion due to the fear of being alone and fear of the unknown/death). That's pretty much it in a nutshell!
