ah, that's not so very far from me. I do like my neighbours to be happy.
Words fail me
If he puts aside a little from his benefits each week he soon will have a large donation to the Conservative Party and get to socialise with Mr Cameron. That will be nice for him.
Tories eh!

Too busy accepting cash for access from big business!
I was going to say the same Mrs O. It's not the Tories though, it's the system brought in by the Labour Party.
Tory or Labour, either government would have done the same. Simply because we're a bit stuck with the European Court judgement at the moment. But I doubt the 'happiest man in England' bit somehow - sounds as though his brother is doing a bit of s***-stirring.
Unfortunately we are paying for a lot more than just him.

Due to our very lax immigration (from all parties over the last 30 years) and our generous benefits system we are paying for hundreds of thousdands of people like him to live off benefits.

Why do you think many immigrants and asylum seekers pass through so many other countries to get here, because word of our easy-to-abuse benefits system has spread all over the world.

We really are the most gullible country in the world, we will ltake anybody, and let them live of us without contributing anything.
Blow the European Court Judgement. What would happen if we just ignored it? Very little I suspect. Spineless Government regardless of what party they are.
Considering our Home Sec'y recently assured us he would get a fair trial if we deported him, why is he still here? He should be packed and on his way by now surely?
This must be Brent council? Surely that is run by Labour?
As he has a right to a family life, I must insist he takes his family with him when he goes!

I've told you this on a number of occasions, and sent you links to the Office of National Statistics for proof - but you still link immigrants to the benefits system.

You're not correct in that assumption.

Immigrants actually claim less in benefits per capita, than their indigenous neighbours.

Should I bother sending the link again?
"Why do you think many immigrants and asylum seekers pass through so many other countries to get here"

For cheap work.

The work that some refuse to do, because it will pull them away from their X-Boxes 42" plasmas and afternoon sessions down the pub...
We know how politicians like bogey-men. It helps to take the media pressure off themselves.
Nice to know policians are so law abiding in not wishing to defy the European court. Its a pity the same motive wasn't applied when working out their own expenses.
This makes me so damn mad. After what this vile governemnt did to pensioners in the budget, thisw piece of scum benefits from our soft touch system. We should ust ignore the Human Rights shower and justsend him back.
Spineless doesn't even begin to describe the government and the last lot were no better! Bugger the European courts - deport him now.
Sorry for my typos - this is how mad I am !!!!!
Personally, I think that all human beings qualify for appropriate accommodation and befitting to their religious beliefs.

At the risk of myself being classified as an infidel, I feel that in the case of Abu Qatada, he should be given a family home; albeit in Jordan.
