Cows are nearly three ft. thick; sheep are nearly half that.

Cows are dumber. Sheep are not as thick as they're branded. Watch some sheep dog trials and see how often they outsmart the dog.

In a previous job i worked a the warden of a country park and had many a run in with two sheep who were very intelligent and manged to work out how to get out of their field through a kissing gate and over a stile. So i'd opt for Cows.
