In addition to our lad Baxter, two of the more unusual names I've heard recently (and liked!) are Carter (my sisters little boy - an old family christian name apparently) Fenn, and Corbin (both babies born on labour ward while we were there.

My sister is in the same predicament, her little boy is due in a month and she can't decide on a name.

I always refer to him as Wyatt, I really love it, but she wont go for it so Im gonna have problems when he's born adjusting to the name she chooses.

She likes  Albie (Albert) or Alfie.

I also like Leo.

Baby name books are a nightmare, you just read them and they mean nothing. You have to hear other people use a name first to get a proper feel for it.

Haj - you wouldn't happen to be a Charmed fan would you?
we decide to our son Edward i don't know anyone else with name and we call him Ed, Eddie (which is our particular favourite)  and Edward when in a formal situation (ie when he has been naughty).
she will know as soon as she sees him, never thought i would ever decide, within seconds of seeing my son i knew. frazer jay is what we called him.
