Does anybody know the best way to attach fresh flowers onto an iced cake?

wire onto dowels and insert the dowels into the cake or make up the arrangement on a ribbon and fix that to the cake. if its just a top arrangement make it up on a small cake board covered in matching icing Don't risk the stems penetrating the cake and check for toxicity.
