Walked out off a job in support of someone being bullied, does that count?
I've just agreed to act for someone free gratis because I am so angry with what the "other side" have done to the poor old chap.

Barmaid / Mcc, thats my way of thinking, too many people think about themselves to day.
yes. would do my best
Yes... helped people write letters, writing to MP etc hate unfairness
Yes - I too have left a job on a matter of principle to support two colleagues. The manager couldn't understand and was saying "we specifically framed the redundancies to avoid affecting you" ...

And in general I will always help those who are making an effort to help themselves - even at some inconvenience to myself.

I tend to be less helpful to "my life is crap and the world is out to get me but I'm not doing anything about it"
I think it depends on the circumstances. Are you advocating being part of the mob with the baseball bats that is to turn up on the rip off merchant's door ? Or are you suggesting writing to your MP ?
I have put my job on the line quite a few times sticking up for my residents and colleagues.
No......particularly if I had ripped them off..........again.
two former colleagues of mine were hauled up before the boss after a minor but embarrassing bungle (this was recently, after I'd retired, so I heard about it second-hand). The boss told one of them - the one who was the last line of responsibility - he was getting a formal warning. The other one immediately stood up and said "If he's getting a formal warning, I want one too."

Don't know if he got one or not.
