I'd be thoroughly peeved if I'd travelled all the way from Limerick to find that the French couldn't put on a game. :-(
Why was it scheduled for a 21:00 (local) ko in the first place?
If it was to meet TV demands, well... ...

If it's been so cold the Seine s'est gelee - all bloody semaine - why couldn't it have been called off on Friday?

It's ridiculous

Now being forced to watch b;**dy Dolly Parton on country at the Beeb.

Tres desole does not begin to cover my emotions... ... ....
I would be too.

However it is the players safety.

I am amazed at the commentary team not knowing the history of the Stade, esp Serge Blanco

The ground was built on an old Gaz de France site - after the 1st couple of games and the first few years, the pitch had to be dug up over and over again as the ground was so polluted and the grass was turning yellow.

It could not take an undersoil heating system as there was a risk of the hydrocarbons in there going bang!

(I was there for the very first match of any sport, France England football and then a few days later for the rugby. Much preferred the old Parc des Princes as the bars were so much closer, i.e. right outside the Parc.
Isn't putting on a match at 8pm on a winter's night asking for trouble?
Yes - but it's driven by TV revenue & the demands of the broadcasters
^^^
Well, that worked well then!?
Quelle dommage! Just got settled with a hefty scotch, dinner happily cooking itself only to be assailed by Dolly Parton.
Je ne suis pas amusee. (Sorry cant remember how to do the accent.)
If I were Irish and had travelled for the game I would be sanguinely furious. Whose brilliant idea was it to schedule for a night match in February?
A state of the art stadium with no undersoil heating.

What a rucking mess!
I think Dolly Parton's agent must have got the fix in ...
Hey, all the French are peeved off too.... and it's only -5°C. I think they were more bothered about spectators than the players.
I cancelled dinner at my friends house under the guise of not feeling well enough....to sit down and watch the game. Must be karma.
jedi, and now you ARE feeling sick.
I am.
