Bungs, off-shore bank accounts, and threatening journalists, have been mentioned in court. Is it just him or are all football managers in the same boat?

Sadly it's all too common where large sums of money are involved
What is the big deal?
He has "siphoned off" about £500, 000 about what a footballer would get in 2 months.
Have you NEVER, earned a bit moonlighting OR not declared some earnings?

In the footballing world half a million pounds is "peanuts".............

Illegal ...immoral.......but understandable.

Who are we to judge?
But it looks as though he may have broken the 11th Commandment: Thou shall not get found out.
> Should Rednapp be red faced<
No chance of that with him, his history at Pompey proves that.
My perception of HR is that he is more than capable of facing what ever result is forthcoming, I don't think he does 'red faced' unless he is in the dressing room giving the first team the benefit of his views on a lacklustre performance.
^^^^
I don't think he does 'red faced', that's because he's to self centred. He's heading for a big fall soon.
Who says he doesn't do red-faced?

That was probably after a trip to some sunny offshore island to open another bank account.
I agree with Sqad, it's a piffling amount in cmparison to the amount of silly money that is thrown at footballers, particularly Premiership players.

The cost of this trial and prosecution must be ten-fold the amount he is alleged to have creamed off for himself. IMHO it isn't really in the public interest to have followed this through when you consider some of the cases the CPP have refused to prosecute in the past.

I can't find footage of the raid on his house when enquiries were initiated but it was vastly disproportionate for the crime in question. Dozens of officers scaling walls and gates at dark o'clock in the morning with sledge hammers etc.

Waste of public money.
It does seem that whenever any 'irregularities' are reported in the media, his name is always right up there.
Yes .. Slipped up there not hiding it better.
Forgot to add the raid on his home was so well planned he wasn't even at home when they 'called' and the warrant was unlawful!

He subsequently sued the City Of London Police successfully.
It's an interesting thread that runs through British culture that crimes against individuals attrack woeful attention and scant sentencing, wheras crimes against financial institutions receive the full weight of police and legal attention, with sentences appropriate for murder in some cases.
I think the tax people are out to get him no matter the cost.........this goes back to another case where they prosecuted him and they were found to be wrong and all his taxes were in order.
Just noticed I typed CPP in one of my earlier posts. No idea how that got there, I meant CPS!

What was mentioned in court was clearly all lies. He has walked out of there without a stain on his character.
