My daughters partner lives with us. He is 21 and an Albanian National he is studying for a degree here on a Tier 4 student Visa. They have been together for 5 years and have just had a baby girl. They are wondering if they can get married in this country and if his parents can come and visit to see their grandchild and to attend the wedding. Can anyone give us advice or tell us who to contact.

There are no restrictions upon the nationalities of persons seeking to marry in the UK but the registrar might require a 'certified' translation of any relevant documentation (such as the man's birth certificate). Enquire at your local Register Office for further information:
http://maps.direct.go...ction.do?ref=grolight
(I'd recommend initially ask there even if it's to be a church wedding. Register Office officials are probably more likely to know about the legal requirements than your local vicar!)

Visa information (for 'family visitors') is here:

As Chris has said there should be no major difficulties in marrying in the UK.
The parents of your future son-in-law will need to obtain visas in Albania to travel to the UK as family visitors, I suggest they obtain these in good time and check they are accurate as a minor error can cause problems when arriving in the UK.
