SAAB 900 Radio re-activation problem

My SAAB 900 needed a new battery, and because the old battery was disconnected, the radio anti-theft device was activated. Once the new battery was fitted, I got an ENTER CODE display, and stupidly guessed - wrongly- what the 4-figure code was, and entered it. I now know the correct code, but, although I have disconnected then re-connected the battery, I cannot get the ENTER CODE display to come on, so cannot get the radio to work. Any ideas, Please!

Maybe you need to leave the battery off for longer (overnight?)
See "This is for those who know the code but have been locked out of the radio", here:

Many thanks for the responses. Have already left the battery off for nearly two hours, so don't think it can be that, but will try a suggestion on the link you sent, Benchico - hold the 'Band' button on the control panel down till ENTER CODE appears. Otherwise it seems like a complicated procedure with taking out fuses so the radio can be left on for at least an hour.....

......so I held down the 'Band' button for 10/15 seconds, the ENTER CODE came up on the display, I entered the correct code and the radio came on. Brilliant!! Thank you, Buenchico !
