our neighbours who we don't get on with any more, mainly due to their kids behaviour and the fact that they are lying b's, went out of the way to be awkward today but it didn't quite come off. We've been getting a lot of work done on our house and have a skip in the driveway and the other half of the drive has been used by the joiner/tilers to cut their wood/tiles - they have then parked their vans across the driveway which leaves me no room to park but doesn't get in anyone else's way. We have 4 spare parking bays in the street that we can use.

However, if I am a minute or two late getting home from work, the street (cul-de-sac) is full of cars of people who park in it to pick their kids up from school - yesterday I had real problems parking anywhere and had to abandon the car until the school run was finished, then move it into one of the bays - My neighbour was out and saw that I had bother getting a space.

Anyhoo, comes home today - a bit earlier only to see that despite her drive being empty, she had parked her car badly and used up 2 of the spare spaces - there was absolutely no reason for her to do that other than to be awkward. She must have been so disappointed that the guys had finished up early and I could park in the drive!!! Some people eh.....

life is too short, take deep breaths and ignore the situation.
Take a photo of the amount of space they take up & take to the local council ojread.
see, tit for tat. ^^^^

next dog poo through your letterbox, and men knocking on the door looking for half an hour of attention from mistress whiplash.
I've already got pics TWR, do you think it would be worth while doing that?
I had thought about my local PSO's even?
Make sure you go down the right road with this problem ojread, these people are being inconsiderate, seek advice, get your fact together will the other neighbour back you up? if not, you are on a loser. but be warned! these sort of people do get their own back? I think you know what I mean.
oh yes TWR, I absolutely know
I certainly have at least 2 other neighbours I am sure are as pissed off as I am
And another who's boyfy comes for the night every now and then who they threatened with the police if he didn't move his car! Needless to say he told them where to go
I'll give the council a call to find out where to start exactly
i had issues with my neighbour who had german shepherd and being totally irresposible got an unspayed bitch (bought in a pub) who mated with the male and surprise surprise a litter followed (they didn;t even know untill she started giving bith)

anyway we have a shared courtyard and if you can imgine the mess and smell that eight dogs can make, it was horrendous. so i asked them - nicely to clear up after the dogs straight away, then when they ignored us i rang the dog warden.
they smashed up my garden furniture and if i was ever out the back wehn they were around they'd call me a dirty ***

nice couple they were
fluffy - can't think of a nasty insult in *** three stars. ;-)

I live in a city centre, a block that has four flats. I live on the second and third floor. The flat next door and the one down stairs are empty. The other is an office. No neighbours = peaceful, long may it last.

I try to be thoughtful (when I have neighbours) but my 'flatmates' race around the place during the night doing an impersonation of a herd of elephants, practising for the local feline choir and beating the **** out of each other. Nobody has ever complained . . . . . yet!

I've tried being reasonable with ours - i tried to be friendly, but at the end of the day they are happy to let their little sheeites of kids damage other peoples property, bully my kids and make a nuisance of themselves and I don't think that's acceptable so I am not going to try anymore. Last time I went to speak to them because the boy was giving my son a hard time at Cubs and was calling him all the B@stard names you can think off - in fornt of many witnesses, she turned it round and said my son and his school friends were ganging up on her poor wee cherub cos he doesn't have a dad. My son was the only one from his school to go to that group - the rest of the boys were from her son's school........but they dont like him either!!!!

Oh and they regularly through dog poo - in bags or out - over the fence into the next doors garden/deck.....and they tried to set fire to their deck ....and the list goes on - some people it is just better to ignore!
Its a darned shame Annie. We have the opposite problem as we ought to move to a bungalow nearer the kids. Trouble is that the neighbours are pure gold so we stay put.
yes, people are complete t@t$ when i comes to leaving their cars! luckily now we have a parking space and drive!

ages ago i returned to my grandfather's (unoccupied) house, where my daughter had borrowed the drive, and i had parked outside, near but not blocking his drive!

there was a carnival on!

when we returned, someone had wedged their car *over the drive* between my car and another person's and couldn't get out!

then they asked me to move my car, which i declined politely to do!!!!!!!

so we watched in amusement from the pavement as they did a huge manouvre to get out of their stupid, rude and ignorant space!

we had all night, but they had no way of knowing my daughter didn't have an emergency!

grrrr ...
Annie I feel for you, make a note of incidents, times / dates, days, log everything down, Reg Nos, without drawing attention to your self see if there is tax on their cars, go on line & check if they are insured "ASMID" I'm sure this is the name of the site, get their reg Nos & check this site, this may sound like a sneak thing to do, but if someone was taking the Izz where I live I would sort it out without doubt, Good Luck but watch your back, about a month ago my neighbour had a Boulder thrown through her car & house window, It seem that someone has it in for her from what I hear, after the first incident I put up a CCTV, my car is German, in Ex condition so I need evidence if these arabs try the same.
I should have said ojread, sorry Annie.
