My Hp all in one printer has broken after many years, so my question is when i buy a new printer who makes the cheapest cartridges to replace the old ones when they run out, i know you can shop around but if i was to go into a high street shop and buy some off the shelf, im not printing high quality things mainly black and white docs with the odd bit of colour thrown in.

Cheers

Kodak printers reckon they are the cheapest for genuine replacement cart/s. I have nearly always bought epson and then got cheap cartridges from DVDRW, they work fine and don't knacker the printer, even if they did after a while it wouldn't matter as you can buy a printer/scanner/copier for around £50. HP copies tend to be a problem so stick with epson as they are just a cartridge and not a print head as well
I bought a Kodak printer because they say theirs are the cheapest inks.
The black cartridge from Argos is £6.99 ad the colour cartridge has been on special offer for £11.49.
I think they even deliver them free, well they used to.

Hi. I to use Epson as I have found them to be the cheapest (especially on non-genuine carts). The last lot I bought were £15 for three complete sets, i.e. 12 carts with an extra black thrown in !! Bargain and p&p was free.
I can recommend this seller on ebay ::::

I have bought cartridges for my HP all-in-one from these people for 2 years. The prices are marvelous, and the delivery is very quick. The ink quality seems to be just as good as HP.

High street shops don't even come near these guys prices !
I buy my Epson compatible cartridges from ebay – the last lot I bought cost £7.50 for 15 double capacity (post free) i.e. 50 pence each.

Why would you buy from a high street shop if they charge more than this?

My Brother printer has just broken down after many years and I am tempted to get the Epson SX235W Wifi half price in Argos - One of the reviews says you need the appropriate usb to set up initially - excuse my ignorance and please don't laugh - but how ill I know what to get and will the lead I've been using on the Brother not suffice ?
apologies - should have said how 'will' I know - I'm hoping to get to Argos tomorrow
Having taken a look at the printer on the Argos webite – it looks a steal.
Remember to buy compatible cartridges from ebay sellers – don’t get ripped off buying genuine Epson cartridges.

The lead you have been using on your Brother printer may well suffice.

This is the type of lead you need:-

Reserve the printer online to avoid a wasted trip to Argos – out of the six nearest Argos branches to me, 3 have no stock and the other three have only one each in stock.
Thanks Hymie - I need to get the USB lead tho - mine seems to be attached to the Brother - but no matter - thanks again
we have an epsom, and buy the cartridges from www.diskdepot.co.uk, they are really cheap, p&p is £3.95 for next day delivery, so we buy everything we need at once, paper etc and order for friends too!........worth a look!....
Not had a good experience with HP, either the printer or the back up. Something in the set up identifies your cartridges as non standard or incompatible and shows as incorrectly loaded or expired. Even with a new full cartridge. As far as cartridges go avoid Cartridge Discount like the plague.
