A local bank, long ago demolished, used to have this motto displayed in its lobby - IF YOUTH BUT KNEW WHAT AGE WOULD CRAVE, MANY A PENNY YOUTH WOULD SAVE. Does anyone know of a bank anywhere which still displays this motto?

Not too dissimilar from "look after the pennies, and the pounds will look after themselves"!

There was a Savings-Bank in the town of Leeds, in England, that had this verse carved in stone above its entrance door:

“Did youth but know what age would crave, Many a penny youth would save.”

Thank you maggie bee. Yes, I had seen that on Google but it says "there WAS a bank". It would seem not to be there any more. I wondered it any more banks had this inscription.
