I've been OK for the last 5 days following the norovirus type thing but there are still some things I can't face and it's getting me down. I still can't face tea (which was important to me) neither can I smoke plus everything tastes really strong. Did anyone else experience this? I know it's a good thing in theory but as long as I can't face a ciggy I feel that I'm still ill.

Prudie, as long as you can't face a ciggie, look at it as getting yourself healthy again. Only a few hours without a fag starts to improve your respiratory system - stick at it, I'm sorry you've been ill but this could be the way you kick the habit (assuming of course that you might want to!).
its probably becasue you have been sick so much its stripped layers of skn from your tongue exposing the taste buds keep going with the non smoking you will feel better for itx
I haven`t had a fag for about 5yrs and my respiratory system is still as thick as when I was on 20 a day.

You are all right but it's not really the way I want to give up smoking. And the tea (and chocolate) are part of my daily ritual and it's just depressing that I can't get back to full normality.
presumably it was still worth giving up carlton!
try keeping off the ciggies, Prudie- every cloud has a silver.......
I feel ok....then next thing i go out or do something and i am FLOORED!

Keep feeling as if i have sore organs no joke! My stomach kills me when i sneeze..and twinges all over...horrible!
