Had this phone for about 6 months now and while the phone is amazing the battery life is not. Found various more powerful battery's on ebay but not sure wether there a good idea. would they do any harm to my phone as they dont appear to be genuine HTC battery's. Any advice would be appreciated...!!!! TIA

There are a few things to be aware of that might make your battery last longer... the main ones are, switch off wireless and GPS if they are not being used, switch of all DATA if it's not required, turn off auto update and also don't use active wallpapers.

Can't comment on the exact batteries you are asking about, but I've bought a lot of batteries for other things from ebay and have had mixed luck with them, some have been fine, others have been rubbish, best thing to do is check the sellers feedback.

I tried one of these with my HTC HD7: http://www.amazon.co....Battery/dp/B004E2RM4C - it was rubbish, and actually performed worse than the original battery!

However, then I tried one of these: http://www.ecrater.co...tc-hd7-a9292-2x-extra - it was excellent! These batteries last longer because they're bigger - makes sense, really! Of course, they do make that actual device a big bigger and heavier, but not much. It's definitely worth it...

They supply equivalent long-life batteries for the Desire - put "htc desire battery extra" in the search box and find the one which corresponds to your specific model.
