Its my sons 10th birthday on Saturday. Can anyone suggest an altenative to giving party bags at the end of the party (as now i think he finds party bags a bit childish)?

how about a cheap calculator and a bag of sweets each, or a book, or a torch?

How about book token/woolworths token, piece of cake and sweets still (as all kids like that)

Do they like Football? You can get Microstars, which are little football figures from Tesco or Woolworths - you could give one of those each with some cake.

I don't know if you have one near where you live, but Hawkins Bazaar shops do brilliant little things for all ages, and cheap too. For ten you olds you could get mini whoopie cushions and those paper things that bang when you throw them on the floor maybe?

Hope your boy has a great day x

I have just been in Hawkins Bazaar in our area and they are great for party gifts.
We used to give them a comic each (for example a football comic)
Hawkins also have an online site - I think it's www.hawkin.co.uk
Brilliant for little things.
I do a lucky dip in the barbeque with wrapped up pressies in sawdust, they seem to love it and it is more exciting (and alot cheaper ) than party bags
