Hi, I work in a care home and all the staff have to renew their CRBs. Mine must be 5years old now, some of the staff are even longer. I have not worked anywhere else in that time. My question is do I have to pay for the CRB check? I am sure last time the company I worked for paid it. At the moment, I have heard that the owners are going to refuse to pay for the checks this time! which I think would be unfair as I am sure they get a discount for completing so many at a time. Anyone help. Thank you.

i think these crb checks are costing alot of money in some cases.i work for a county council in a school and have had one done 3 months later we became shared lives carers through the same county council and i had another one done .i didnt pay but it was a waste of money.I wouldnt have minded if it was with a different organisation but the same council!!
mmm searching for an answer for someone else and all of Eddies replies have been removed but they didn't warrant removal under any heading in AB's T&C's?

They weren't attacks and no rude words included .................
