Didnt have mr potato head....was a bit before my time hehe x
When I was poorly once my mum got me a comic that had a card doll that you made up with things like drawing pins but they split in to so you could make the arms and legs move. I used to have the fold round dolls too.
So did I! Would today's youngsters indulge is such simple play?
used to design my own clothes for the doll also did the scraps thing you can still get them in cardmaking and scrapbooking shops or on the hobby websites

Had loads of scrapbooks simple things nor a battery or powerlead anywhere
also i have absolutely no idea what everyone is talking about! Clearly i missed out when i was a kid!
Me neither. I feel deprived.
bednobs, it was as in tink's post at 00:29.

I suppose once upon a time you just cut out anything interesting and put them in scrapbooks, but it got to the point where companies actually printed little pictures especially for them.
Had loads of scraps when I was growing up. We used to "swap" with friends and try to get "sets" of particular kinds like squaries, angels, pre-war etc. Gave my book to my daughter who still has it as well as her own. Thought she would pass it on to her daughter, but has two sons. Maybe grandaughter?
the printed ones started in the victorian era I think
