all in fun <]:-)
I think he meant standing on the clifftops and looking out you can see it, not just from the beach but I dunno, he's much cleverer than me so maybe I just misunderstood.
It's all 'good' bacteria Venator!!! ;)
Round here (Weston-super-mare)sewage was definitely pumped straight into the sea up until the new sewage works were built about 15 years ago, also further down the coast near Stretcholt there used to be three 1m wide pipes taking it straight out to sea. Think/hope that has stopped now.
Nothing wrong with them, at least they are not spilling onto the streets. We have them here to empty the cess pits and the stink is terrible, but hey it's part of life.
...so if you are ever in Ibiza and you see a dark red enclosed truck with Brilliant written on the side, hold your nose!
I went fishing at Fleetwood at low tide a few years ago, before the new sewage plant was built, as the tide turned I notice thousands of what appeared to be maltesers at the waters edge. Then realised what they actually were, packed up and left.
^ Place has now been re-named to Turdwood.
Could they not take it out into the desert and bury it?
sandyRoe, look at all those lorries!!!!! how big a hole are they gonna dig?

I would have thought it could be processed though.
I`ve seen it plenty of times Ratter. Last time I swam at Saunton I was treated to the sight of a complete sanitary towel floating past. My mum said she`ll never forget the time she took my sister and I (as kids) to Minehead. I was making little balls of sand on the beach and then mum realised it wasn`t sand I was playing with, but sewage.
237SJ, is that in recent years, I know these things used to be common place but I dont here of it these days. Also many of these things are just thrown straight into the sea and never came from a sewage outlet

So you didnt actually swim at Minehead, you just went through the motions :)

Dadaaaa!!!!
