No shared hotel bedrooms by non married couples

No alcohol in the hotel

A separate bay on the beach for women separated from men, so that the two sides can enjoy a vacation for a week without sins.

Cleric Yasser Bourhami said,

"The tourist doesn't have to swim with a bikini and harm our youth".

/// Azza al-Jarf, a candidate for the Muslim Brotherhood, told supporters: 'Tourists don't need to drink alcohol when they come to Egypt; they have plenty at home. ///

Well to all you who look forward to your hols, would that Egypt attract you?

Officially there is no alcohol allowed in the UAE, Dubai, Abu Dhabi etc but, I worked there for 11 years and the bars in hotels are opened 24 hours a day for Westerners!

There are also beaches where Western women can wear bikinis and beer is allowed, the only problem is that the Pakistani males are staring, complain about the females showing flesh because there wife's are not allowed. but the police just ignore them.
Just got back from Nile cruise, tbh would have still gone minus alcohol, but from what we saw the Egyptian people are desperate for tourists, down from 300plus to 60 cruise boats:-(
From what I have read the Muslim Brotherhood would be the better option though, compared to El-Nour, who would impose strict Sharia Law.
Either way, from what we saw last week, the tourist economy would collapse.
This is what is know as "electioneering". it hasn't happened properly in Egypt for a while, if ever.

No just very sad really, still I am flattered that I am on your mind even when you are on your holidays. :0)
he probably spotted a milwall fan in a union jack mankini.

instant reminder.
I always thought the tourist industry was centred around accomodating people from other countries. I'd like to hope common sense and the general interest of the country would prevail eventually!
No doubt other countries are put off by the freely available drink and sex in this country. Each country is different and you abide by the rules of that country.

I wouldn't go for anything more than a day trip via a cruise ship to see the pyramids.

I doubt it, seeing that most of them choose to live here, instead of just visiting.
It would put me off, as I like to drink if I want to!
Stories like these always make me feel sad for the women of the country as they will surely suffer as well as the tourist trade. :(
