Anyone ever used 'healthy pets' website to insure their pet, I have just completed a quote on compare the market and the best quote directed me to their site, I filled in all the details including direct debit details and pressed continue, a dialogue box came up saying, 'your application has been successful', nothing else. i phoned them u to find out if the policy was active but they said i should receive an e-mail about it, which i still haven't half an hour later, she said it could take up to 20 minutes! Anyone know what to do, i cant call them now as their lines are closed, any advice appreciated.

Nope, already checked. :-(
Why don't you just put a certain amount of money away in a piggy bank every month, say the amount you have had for the best quote. This would save paying the insurance company anything and when your pet is ill you should have plenty in the piggy bank !
good if you don't need it smurfy!
we have insurance for all our pets (3 dogs and a cat) and have ALWAYS been grateful for it. My dog had to have a ct scan and investigations into a urinary problem this year and it cost £700. this month the other dog has had a mast cell tumour diagnosed, and i think (if it remains simple) the final cost will be about £500. Two months ago my cat was ill, and his treatment was about £200
Oh i wish i had insurance on the black schnauzer in my avatar pic, we must be up to at least £3k in vets bills and now she is on treatment for cushings.
Wouldn't be without her tjough!
A breeder friend of mine used to be with Healthy Pets, she never had a problem with them, so I am sure it will be fine.
Have Callie insured with them benny, haven't needed to claim so far, but they have good reviews, I got an e mail instantly when I signed up, so maybe call them again tomorrow just to be sure............
It doesn't work like that, smurfy - a long term sick pet can cost you thousands. I had to pay nearly £150 to get Rover checked out last week, bloods etc (given his health when he ran off) - thank goodness I kept up his insurance!
With all of you reporting a claims history far greater than the premiums being input, one can confidently predict a huge increase in premiums next year then. That's the way insurance works, I'm afraid.
And another thing, isn't 'Healthy Pets Insurance' an oxymoron since one doesn't need insurance for a healthy pet.
Not all of us, BM - I have two other catz who rarely need to claim, but as I have For Life policies, I'm keeping them going. The cost of treatment would far outweigh the cost of the premiums I'm paying.
