trip gear and presumably wafer cutter
I agree with Keltiejack, but I'm not sure the wafer cutter is a "well-known" phrase.

I've heard "cookie cutter" used to mean "reproduce something to the same pattern with minor change of detail", usually in a financial product sense. So I guess "wafer cutter" is roughly the same.

"Trip gear" does not ring any bells. Is it a bit like "trip switch"?

a wafer cutter is used in the diamond cutting industry.

trip gear is a large electricity switch(es), used in sub-stations.

It is also used for outdoor sport clothing e.g for cycling, kayaking.
