I can't bear to read it either - Just seeing it was an animal death on the link stopped me reading it. I am so angry as I bet he will get off with a fine. I agree with sallybb.
jail is too good for him! x
I couldn't read more than the headline. Sick, sick, people!
I also couldn't read past the headline. I can't grasp what kind of human being could do such a thing.
another vile act by a stupid moron, if he did it, hope he goes to prison.
What is with the + signs ?
When I read this story (I read the whole thing and those that chose not to were probably wise - it's very very nasty), I thought, "Perhaps it was an accident". You know how sometimes you see people driving blithely down the road with their coat or dress caught between the door and frame of their cars?

Something like that.

But then...no - it would have to be a chance in a million to accidentally trap a lead in a car door and not notice it...?

And then I wonder how anyone could be so stupid as to do something like that in a car which can be so easily traced. If a woman putting a cat into a wheelie bin can be caught, so can this 'person'.
He should be set alight!!
The piece dosn't make it clear that the driver was aware of the dog tied to his bumper. It may have been tied there by any vile and stupid moron.
Let's not judge until we know all of the facts.
I don't hope he's jailed... I hope he's impaled...
surely this is not the action of a sane person ?

Eddie...it was a wind up. The Ed confirmed it was posted by a banned user.

I think to hurt a defenceless animal is somehow worse that hurting humans. At least a human (we're talking adults here) stands a chance of fighting back....and trying to reason with their attacker. Or at least stand a better chance of defending themselves. Also, a large percentage of domestic attacks happen during an argument. No excuse, but people snap. That poor dog probably thought it was going for a walk...
actually eddie, i agree, a young woman was jailed today for abusing her child the baby died, i bet it doesnt make headlines in tomorrows paper, and yes AB is indeed very pet friendly.

I think its the fact it's cruelty inflicted on the innocent. I must admit i'm more moved by an animals death than I am by a human's unless it's a child, and again I think it's the whole innocence thing.
What we should be thinking about is the mindset of the aggressor - not who or what the victim is. Cruelty is cruelty - and it should carry harsh penalties.
naomi, couldn't agree more.
Hi Hypocrits- Hallal anyone ?

Eddie, so what if we do get worked up over animal cruelty! I don't understand why people like you always find it necessary to point out that humans suffer as well. Who is making the humans suffer - other humans that's who! Cruelty is cruelty, no matter who or what it is inflicted upon and why do you assume that just because we care about animal cruelty, we don't care about human cruelty? I care about both, but at least humans have a voice, animals don't and people who care about them have to speak up. This little dog went through hell and if I want to rant and rave about the person who did it (because let's face it, I can't do anything else for the poor dog), then I will do, but that doesn't automatically make me someone who only cares about animal cruelty!
