What is usually the medical method for aborting a pregnancy of 8-10weeks.

No, they do not induce labour at 8 - 10 weeks.

They can either give you some pills which bring on a miscarriage. I think you have to remain in hospital for that and there is no guarantee on how long it will take to work.

Or they can perform an abortion while you're under general anaesthetic. Basically put to sleep and when you wake up it's all over.

I would imagine it would be a pill that causes the womb to shed the lining and get rid of the foetus. 10 weeks might be borderline though, so it might be a different procedure.

I believe the pill is for up to 9 weeks, after that it would be surgical procedure

Ignore my first answer.

Medical abortion can be procured up to about 10 weeks by taking tablets, one to cease the pregnancy and one to expel the products of conception.
