I have owned for some years now a Franklin "Chambers Concise Crossword Dictionary" with the model number CWR 206. It is an electronic aid to all manner of crossword applications. I have been very happy with it but it has now literally worn out and I wish to replace it with the same model. My problem is that I can no longer find one of these models probably because it it is now outdated. I have found what appears to be a similar machine with the model number CSQ-206 and wondered if this is what I should now purchase. The trouble is that when buying stuff on-line it is dificult if not impossible to ask questions about merchandise so I am turning to the Answer Bank in the hope someone can help me. Please advise.

There are at least two for sale on ebay, if you know anyone who has an account.
I wouldnt expect the CSQ-206 to have the same functions as the CWR-206 because it is a speller not a crossword solver. Amazon has more descriptions of what the different models do.

Thank you Winner. I have ebay but I can see one at least. Thanks also to you Squitty; I looked at Amazon but couldn't find that model but did learn a little about some other machines.
Hi Vimto

i too once owned a Chambers Crossword Dictionary. Someone then bought me a Bradfords Electronic Solver which is perhaps slightly more expensive but much more helpful.

If you haven't got them (and a interested) the two Bradford's Crossword Guides are currently available in book form for around £7.50 from The Book People
Hi Vimto, The one on ebay is currently £7.50, the title to search for, is:
Franklin Chambers Crossword Dictionary (as typed here) and the seller is pber7021 there are only 15 hours left to go, if interested.
