My other half is current serving in Afghanistan and I'm really struggling with ideas for Christmas presents as I'm limited on weight. I thought about a nice posh cigar but don't know which makes are any good. I'm prepared to spend a reasonable amount. Can anyone give me any pointers on good ones?

This'll get the "Anti Smoking Brigade" going, is there such a thing as a GOOD cigar?
Cuban Cigars are the best

However as a non smoker , that opinion is based on people I know who smoke.
Montechristo or Cohiba if he likes a heavy rich smoke, Trinidad or Davidoff (Cuban) if lighter.
one h too many there in Montecristo
Romeo y Julieta are very nice Cuban cigars as well.
there are obvioulsy some questions like - does your partner have a preference, what is your budget limit etc etc. i'm not a smoker, but this starter pack -if your partner is a 'dabbler' seems to have some good reviews.

Thanks all. He is a smoker anyway (and when you can get 200 cigarettes for $20 in Camp Bastion I don't suppose he's going to be quitting any time soon.

I'm looking to spend maybe £40-£50 on one good one. I'll check these websites out, thanks.
Do you ever venture into London ? If so, there is a great little specialist tobacconist down Charing x Road - they have loads of cigars there.
