Me too, but I'm not convinced, not totally.
'Cutter' looks fine - double meaning of "censor" & one working at a tailor's (Savile Row)
I believe you are right a censor cuts films just as a tailor cuts cloth. Therefore they could both be described as a cutter.

I was guessing at "cutter" working as/for a tailor, but found nothing in the dictionary to that effect.
