I've not seen that 4get and at first I thought 'garbage' but reading some of the comments, if they are to be believed, then it seems brain injuries can cause immense changes in people. Have to feel sorry for his girlfriend.

There seems to be lots of cases of people waking up with different accents - not as extreme but still weird (google - woman wakes up with accent, I was looking for a case I remembered but there's more than one case).
