Do you need a wii first for a wii fit plus?

Hello

I'm just about to buy a wii-fit plus and no-where on the wii website can I find out if it's a pre-requisite to own a Nintendo wii first! Actually I can't find this information anywhere...

I'm not sure if they are separate items that work independently.

I'd assumed you'd need a Wii first, and the Fit programme is an add-on - but I could be wrong.

yes, you need to own a wii in order to buy a wii fit, the wii fit is like an add on

find a package with the two together and get wii fit plus if you have the choice the games are better
