Can you imagine working for a company or organisation that has between 500-1000 employees, but has the following employee statistics..

* 29 have been accused of spouse abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 9 have been accused of writing bad cheques
* 17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at
least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
*21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
*84 have been arrested for drink driving in the
last year

AND

collectively, this year alone, they claimed £92,993,748 in expenses!!!

Still, can I have woofy's prize of a tube of smarties please?

Thanks.

Doesn't this change depending on the country or something? I swear I saw a 'joke' about it before.

1st prize is a duck house and the right to claim on your 2nd mortgage despite it being paid up.
I saw this email being forwarded about a decade ago - though it was meant to be about American congress then rather than UK Parliament. see snopes for the write up about this online myth

good research iggyb, i posted this in good faith after my missus told me, just goes to show you cant trust what you read on the internet. i still maintain that the house of commons is probably worse. respect to you tho sir!
that does sound phoney, doesn't it... 29 arrested for spouse abuse? C'mon, if that was true we'd have heard about it.

Really !

So you believe everything on the internet do you.

Well I got this 10 million pounds I am trying to smuggle into the UK so if you send me your bank details I will put it in your bank and then let you keep 10% of it once I remove the money. Honest.
And that still works for the same reason.

people believe stuff much more readilly when they want to believe something
To me the biggest 'give away' was 84 arrests for drink driving in the last year. If the figure for MPs had been only a tenth of that there would have been outrage and resignations
