Sorry - this refers to Guardian 25464.
Lonnie Donegan?
What are we looking for here? How many letters? (As you've posted in crosswords)
IS this a crossword clue ?
If so, how many letters and do you have any placed ?

It's a song by, I think, Max Bygraves if that helps. :-))
Okay- our posts crossed.
How many letters please and how many do you know?
What is the exact clue? Is Old Number part of the clue?
Sorry, bow to Factor 30's superior knowledge...Lonnie Donegan

Oh dear - my fault. This is an answer to Guardian clue today - posted to help those struggling. The clue, which I don't actually understand, is "Old number 35 London bus we drove home to Scunthorpe, so luggage is all over the place!"
The song is an 'old number'
I assume it's an anagram of part of the clue- maybe "London bus we drove home to Scunthorpe, so luggage ". And maybe the 35 is roman numerals and part of it
Yes, anagram of (I think)- thirty five London bus we drove home to Scunthorpe, so luggage all
Question Author
Ah, thank you factor 30. Anagrams this long are clever, but a bit impentrable.
I think ALL probably isn't part of the anagram.
