Can I remove MSN and Bing from IE 8 or do I have to remove IE8 and re-install IE 7 to get rid of them? I find they are superfluous and I have no interest in facebook or twitter. In advance, thank you for reading this.

You will have to explain more.

Where exactly do you want to remove them from? are they toolbars, your home page, the search provider?

The basic answer is, yes though.
IE8 ... Tools/Manage Addons ... disable/remove what you like and can find in there.
Or sometimes a toolbar needs to be ininstalled in Add/Remove.

My home page is Internet Explorer enhanced for MSN and Bing. I find it extremely crowded and "busy" compared with my old Internet Explorer 7 that I used with BT Yahoo as a provider. I have now moved to Sky. I would like to revert to the much smaller IE pages with less gossip and items. Is it possible? I usually use the Google enquiry bar.
Then make Google as home page. Find Google then open IE options and set it to save Google as home page and open this on each new tab.
Doesn't matter what your ISP is .. you can change it from Sky to Google.

Thank you for all your input. I may well try the google home page but I do like IE. In for a change, we all get stuck in a rut now and then. Thanks again.
