I,m not laughing, it is most embarassing and can be quite sore. Basically, you treat it like spots on the face and with the same gentle antiseptic exfoliators and cleansers...not the same sponge or cloth though (sorry) Wear natural fibre underwear and trousers or skirts, try to stay out of tights. If its really bad and you can bring yourself to do it, see a doctor as you can get acne there. Don't know your age or gender but certainly in women, hormones can play a part in teen age or menopause. Oddly enough the other people who can get this trouble quite badly are long distance drivers because of the length of time they spend seated and of course the perspiration doesn't evaporate.
Exfoliation with a loofah or body scrub could work but make sure its a mild body scrub and that you don't use the loofah too hard as the skin is delicate here.

If it is itchy, it could also be a sign of worms, in which case you should see your GP
I thought worms were more of and 'iternal' itch rather than a buttock itch? try a nice dab of witch hazel, cool them down and dry them out.
But they lay eggs on the skin, you scratch it and put your fingers in your mouth, giving them a chance to get through the digestive system again and multiply
Sally, try this. Drink plenty, say 2 litres, of fresh water each day. Also rub your spotty bott with fresh lemon for 3 to 4 days. Seems strange maybe but it worked wonders for me.
I think it really depends whether you're refering to spots or a rash which should be treated differently
This may not b any help, but thers a new Clearasil body wash thats 4 ur body instead of the spots on ur face. Duno if its any good, saw it advertised and thought it mite help.
Sally, try this - give up detergent. Many skin complaints are "topical" and the more soaps, cleansers, etc we use, the more it aggravates skin conditions leading to more reliance on chemicals. Change your washing powder, body wash, even your shampoo to natural products. Your body and the environment will improve and, in the end, you will save money. Rosemary oil and plain zinc powder are great for the skin. Here's to a spotless Sally.
