Morning all. Very misty here. Had an email saying my washing machine would be delivered between 0630 and 1000, so Im up, showered and dressed, whats the betting it doesnt arrive until 0955!

Morning, you might need to join up with the other thread, and if you sit there waiting, they won't turn up till this afternoon. I have phoned companies two minutes after the allotted time and been told, sorry the vans broken down, umm

Been caught out before em...when I have overslept they have been banging on the front door, better safe than sorry.

Done that myself, but also sat there all day, and they didn't show, i was hopping mad, and the excuses, so keep your coffee, tea or whatever takes your fancy on and relax.

Washing machine has arrived.....Hooray Cant be connected because the hole going through the side of the unit isnt big enough.....Boo, and they are not allowed to do things like make holes bigger. I have been refunded the installation fee but I have now got to find someone to make a bigger hole and fit the pipe. Nothing is ever easy is it!! daftgrandad, Hemel Hempstead and the fog has now cleared Im pleased to say!

happened when my mum had one delivered.... I persuaded them to stay for a cup of tea while I made the necessary adjustments with a junior hacksaw and a pair of pliers...

How do you get on with the "magic roundabout" in Hemel ? I,m in Hertford.

Machine has now been fitted by a friend, took him all of 5 minutes, first load in. daftgrandad - get on fine with it, but you can always tell strangers to the town by the terrified look on their faces as they are going round.....and round......and round!! Also alot better now it has been resurfaced, you dont feel as though you are going to tip over as you go round.
