Hey, pa_ul ... did you go for your 21 mile run yesterday ??

Oh, er ... I declined your kind offer to "almost taste" your ponky base layer!

haha, I did indeed, I done it faster than I done my 19 miles last week too! Even had enough energy to 'push it out' in the last few hundred yards! I felt amazing afterwards, really gave me confidence for my marathon, I love a post run high!!

It's those buzzy endorphins !!

Well, well done you.

I hope you put your base layer in the wash !!!

ohh I have! Every time I ran past someone I felt half an urge to apologise for the smell! Although I did get smiles off a couple of young lasses, maybe it's true what they say about pheromones!!

Well, heey you ! ... LOL

You weren't "flexing" were you?

Or running a bit faster as you ran past those girls?

he he

Hmm, actually, I think we all find a bit of extra energy if we run past someone good looking.

Maybe race courses should be lined with good looking people, so the competitors might run faster??

Have you earmarked the shoes and socks you're going to run in ?

I got a new pair of Saucony shoes recently. I love them.
ha, no, I don't go courting any attention, certainly not when I'm probably a beetroot faces sweaty mess! Any buffing up of the chest was purely for respiratory purposes!!
I'm sticking to my trusty adidas, they've done me well I'd feel guilty brushing them aside for some new piece on the big day! Plus they'd be pretty much redundant after the race, I'll be switching from the roads to the gym to beef up for the long winter months on the rugby pitch!!

LOL Triggy.

Well, yes, I think the point is to NOT get new shoes befors a long run. Make sure you are already happy with the shoes you are going to wear for the run.

So you'll be doing a bit of heavy lifting, and bulking up? Get those protein shakes lined up !!!
