Ed, how about giving ABers the opportunity to dislike/like an answer by offering them the chance to hit a red arrow for dislike and a green one for like. JD

That is another benefit. Often posters just want to add that they agree - a vote could save threads from having lots of one-word answers.

Face it Trim, you just don't like the idea!

"here" being ChatterBank, not the entirety of the site; everywhere else it's likely to be used as intended. It'll definitely be useful for picking out popular threads to feature, and we'd probably exclude CB from these features anyway.
Most CB users are not that funny anyway :-)
Sorry, I mean when picking feature posts we'll not use CB posts - CB will likely have the +/- OR ^/v feature.

lol... does any of this really matter?

"... and will you know who has clicked either a ^ or v ?"

Maybe, would give some accountability if it was public. Could have another tab in public profiles for things you've "arrowed". It'll certainly be recorded in the back end so if someone is "maliciously arrowing" we could discount them or something.

"lol... does any of this really matter?"

Of course not. But if it were to happen it would become important.

hey, no, Ed, I want to see the latest posts so I know what's new. If it just listed popular posts it'd be the same ones all the time.
Jno, I meant on the front page, rather than in the latest posts box. Currently the front page just defaults to newer posts.
oh, ok then, that makes sense
