I have naturally dark brown hair and about a year ago i dyed it using a dark brown hair dye with a red tint. A few months later I wanted to get rid of the reddy tint so i bought a plain dark brown hair dye however in the sun, the red tint became obvious again. About a month ago i decided i wanted to have lighter hair so used a dark blonde hair dye in order to try make it mid brown, but it didnt really work and is now just gingery at the roots and still reddy. How do i get rid of all this hair dye without ruining my hair because its long and i try to keep it in best condition as possible! I dont know if dying it dark brown will work and get rid of the red!

YOu could try using something called colour b4, it shrinks the hair colour molicules and it washes out, i dye my hair alot and used this and it took me back to really close to what my natural colour was, but like i said i have been dying my hair alot and for a long time, seeing as youve only done it a handful of times im pretty sure you'd get a good result, they sell it in boots and superdrug. Hope that helps.
red dye fixes... you might get away with using a dye removal product...they really do need the rinse time it says on the packet by the way but you might be better having a mid brown with a few reddish lowlights to just blend in the colours you don't like...
Dark brown hair with a reddy tint sounds just lovely! And coming out in the sun too! I'm sure it looks really nice! But if you don't like it, I reckon go to a hairdresser as they will sort it properly for you.
Use Head and Shoulders shampoo; it will strip the colour off; hopefully without doing too much damage.
