I won and paid for an item on Wednesday evening. The item has not yet been posted. Just wondering what is a reasonable timescale for me to contact seller re posting of paid item?

I was thinking of emailing the seller perhaps tomorrow?

usually in the part under the listing on the left hand side there is a list of questions and answers , it should say how long it takes if you look at the "where is my item"
It may depend on if payment has been confirmed, if they are on holiday, working etc. Usually the seller ctcs you. Unless it quotes next day delivery then it may take a while pending on how much u paid for postage. U less you are in a rush give it until 2moro. :-)
It may have been posted and the seller hasn't updated Ebay to reflect this.

If RM is being used I always give items a week to arrive.
The person probably has not updated the ebay bit. If you paid on Wednesday evening then the earliest he could have shipped would have been Thurday. Parcel packages I believe usually take 3 - 5 days. So I would give him a week before chasing.
Yes, a lot of ebay and paypal users don't bother to record that the item has been despatched.
Normally you will see on the description of the item that the seller undertakes to post within so many days - mine says "2-3 working days". How do you know that it hasn't been posted? Not everyone tells you - I always update the "despatched" option on my Sold view, plus I email the seller to tell them that it's on its way, but not everyone does.
If you only paid on Wednesday, then it's possible that the seller hasn't been able to get to the PO - I find this does happen sometimes as I work fulltime.

It wouldn't hurt to drop them a message today asking when you might expect delivery, as they haven't contacted you at all since you paid.
I have to admit. I only recently realised as a sender that if I click that icon that the receiver can see it. I thought it was just a reminder for myself.
Check out the seller's feedback, see if there are any adverse comments.
Did it ever turn up?
