I was born this way, how can I be accountable for being given a male body and a female brain. Surely it is the same as a person being born with a physical disability or a mental disability, how can they be held accountable foe something which is completely beyond their control?

You are not accountable to anyone but yourself.
When you look in the mirror and see who you want to be on the outside and stay the same person inside (caring, considerate, friendly) that will have been a heck of a journey.

Motoko. Unfortunately you are always going to be "in between" in a society that like everything in simple categories. It is their problem not yours.
Don't dishearten. You are who you are and you will never be anything else so you might as well love that person and forget about the bigots out there. The church is full of stupid archaic attitudes written thousands of years ago by ignorant stoneage goat herders. Try to remember that.
There are many of us in who don't quite fit in those boxes. As a boy I struggled because I wasn't macho, I cried at emotional times and I had a high speaking voice. (I actually have a former colleague who underwent gender reassignment surgery who told my wife they were jealous of my voice.)
For a long time I struggled with the rejection I felt by women when I really wanted to be part of their culture. I just didn't fit in to the male competitiveness and physicality. I was frequently accused of being gay even though I am reasonably confidently heterosexual. It is very tough when you are young.
Over time though I did find women who accepted me in that way. They love the way we sing together and they look to me to do the really high harmonies.
It is really all about finding your place with the right people. They are out there. Go for it and don't let the negative idiots ever get you down.

Let me see, now the Bible states that: if you don't follow God you should be killed, if you dishonour your Father, you should be stoned to death, if a woman is raped, she should flogged, if your slave disobeys you, you can beat him/her with a rod, its fine as long as your slave doesn't die within 3 days. if a woman is found not to be a virgin on her wedding night she should be taken to her fathers house and stoned to death. If you commit almost any sin you will go to hell and burn in rivers of fire with gnashing teeth for eternity. Yes God loves you!!!!

The thing about religion is that it is each group's attempt to make sense of spiritual matters and they may have got things right, may have got things wrong, or maybe a little of both. I'd advice anyone feeling bad because a particular religion says they have something 'wrong' would be wise to ask why that religion should be correct. Chances are they could be mistaken.
You suggest you are answerable to God. Well that may be the case, but I'm guessing you've not experienced a personal meeting with a deity where they tell you that you are doing something bad. So why adopt someone else's view as substitute ? Assume your deity is ok with your misfortune, after all, are they not supposed to be responsible for it in the first place ?
If your past Christian faith is causing you problems, then either drop, it or at least put it on the back burner until you can get your mind around the situation. Stressing & fretting over religious values is likely to just stymie your ability to think it through.
